It's always hard parting with a favourite pair of jeans, but now you don't have to. Use hand-sewing and sewing machine techniques to turn your jeans into a fun and functional tote bag, complete with lining fabric. Not only will your bag be super stylish, you'll be repurposing jeans and giving them a new lease of life, which is great for the environment too. Win, win! Loaner Machines Available. We are super excited to have local wool appliqué Artist Uschi Grenier join us to teach this camp. Campers will learn all about cutting out the wool appliqué pieces, carefully hand-stitching them together and using beautiful decorative stitches to embellish and complete a small project.

Ever wanted to learn to crochet? Well now is the chance, as we welcome 16 year old crocheter Matias Crochet to the store to come and teach you. You may have seen his work at local markets or in the newspaper, and he's going to be teaching along side our resident crochet expert Natalie. Join them both and learn the basics of crochet so you can create your own fun projects, such as this adorable blue octopus, and much more.

Does your little fashionista Want to learn more about using a sewing machine and try their hand at garment sewing but don't know where to start? In this camp, students will learn the anatomy of your machine and the basics of dress making, and sew your very own custom pair of PJ/lounge pants. By the end of it, not only will they be armed with lots of knew knowledge and skill, students legs will be nice and comfy in their own hand-made creation. (Do you see what we did there?!) Loaner machines available.
