Temporary reduced hours due to Covid-19

Update June 19:

As of today we will be open to shoppers Thursday-Saturday 11-2 with a few rules:
-Only 2 people allowed in the store at one time, please respect a 2m distance from each other
-Please wear a mask if you have one
-Hand sanitizer is located on the table next to the door, please use it as you enter the store

We are available for private appointments outside these times and of course we are still offering curbside pickup and shipping for online orders

Update May 16: Wow, what a crazy 8 weeks it's been.

At this time we are working with Worksafe BC guidelines to decide on the safest way for us to reopen the store. This has been made harder by our small retail space that makes social distancing difficult. I appreciate everyone's patience and we look forward to being able to welcome you into the store as soon as it is safe to do so. Starting next week, we are able to take appointments for machine sales only. (masks required)
We continue to offer curbside pick-up and shipping.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has placed an order and just reached out to say "Hi" over the past eight weeks. Quilty friends are the best!

Effective Tuesday, March 17th (Happy Wedding Anniversary to me) our Stitch and Bobbin retail location will be closed until further notice.  We have agonized over this decision all weekend but after the recent recommendation for Canadians to stay home and help "flatten the curve" we feel it is in the best interest of our community. Many of our customers are visitors from out of town and many of our local shoppers are part of the more at risk group.  I would feel very responsible if someone came into contact while shopping in our store.  While it is a very scary situation for a small business to limit their foot traffic, we feel it is necessary to practice more aggressive distancing practices.  We also understand that you are also responsible citizens and will be spending your time at home as well. That means it is a great time to sew!  I think this situation is going to produce some amazing projects!!  We would love to see what you are working on by sharing it in our facebook group:Stitch & Bobbin: Sew and Tell group.

These are the things we are offering to help all of us get through this unprecedented situation:
  1. The shop will be officially closed, however I will be in the shop for a few hours each day processing orders. If you would like to pick up an online or phone order, give us a call and we can schedule it.
  2. As long as Canada Post is operating we will continue to be shipping online orders out daily.
  3. We will be offering local delivery between Gibsons and Sechelt. As well as pick-up of quits for longarming.
  4. Facebook and Instagram posts and stories. We will feature new lines of fabric, new notions, some fun #quiltingthroughcovid19 Sales and more.  Make sure you follow us on FB and/or instagram to stay updated.
  5. If you have a project you need fabric for, email us a photo and we will help pick out fabric for you.  Consider us your personal fabric shoppers.
  6. At this time all classes are postpone. We will contact anyone that is signed up for classes at this time to discuss rescheduling.
